As educators, we do not know every detail, the expert support was very valuable for our education. Students were able to replay the parts that they did not understand and thus they saw the advantage of online education.

Valuable Institutions We Work With

Q&a

Things you probably wonder

What is Riders?

Riders is a simulation-based robotics coding training platform. With Riders, educational institutions can provide programming content to their students using accurate robot simulations. It’s equally educational and entertaining as working with real-life robots, but with more variety of real-life scenarios and without the cost of physical kit. Students can also test themselves in a fun, competitive environments by joining the Riders Robotics League, an online international robotics league.

What do you mean by ‘Learn-Tech, Play-Tech?’

Riders believes that the best way to learn is via a combination of theory and the chance to practically experiment with implementing that learning in trial-and-error environments that are enjoyable and game-like. Riders’ ‘Play’ environments are robotic simulations (‘Tech’) that help the learning of coding and other STEM content. That is combined with the academic content provided in video tutorial format. We all learn much faster when we see how theory works in real life situations. Learning difficult topics becomes much easier when we’re concentrated on a topic and motivated to ‘play’. Riders uses the engaging power of games, teamwork, interactive supervision and high adrenalin competition to make STEM learning easier, more interesting and more rewarding.

What’s the difference between Riders and Riders Robotic League?

Riders is a STEM learning platform that teaches coding-related skills to middle and high school students, from basic to advanced programming levels. It uses tutorials and robotics simulations to do this. The Riders Robotics League also allows students in this ecosystem to use their newly acquired knowledge to compete with other teams on a national and global level, accompanied by their mentors.

How qualified are the lecturers in Riders tutorials?

Riders’ video tutorials enable students to learn to code from scratch by teaching students the basics of robotic programming through the use of real robots’ digital twins. The lesson content and coding languages are tailored by age group and ability, becoming progressively more advanced.

Is Riders real robotics?

Absolutely. Riders robots are accurate digital twins. Mastering robotics involves understanding all kinds of normally hard-to-master skills, such as coding, mathematics, the laws of physics, engineering, problem-solving and much more.

How do simulated robots compare to physical robots?

The difference between simulated robots and physical robots is that simulations enable the user to much more quickly see the workings of the code that’s been written. In addition, the user can try out their skills with many more types of robot in all kinds of environments with a computer and internet access being the only requirement.

For EDUCATORS

Educators, tell us who you are and we’ll arrange the rest

Before the season starts mentors are required to form a high school robotics team of 6 to 10 students. Mentors are responsible for co-ordinating and communicating with Riders team members through each stage of the process. They track student participation in learning sessions during the training and competition phases, supervise homework completion and handle topics like certification.
